Sir Douglas Allen Booth, 3rd Bt (born 2 December 1949), an Anglo-American aristocrat, is a television producer, writer and cartoonist, who co-wrote ''Scooby Doo''.
==Early life==
Booth was born on 2 December 1949,〔(The Peerage )〕 elder son of Sir Philip Booth, 2nd Baronet (1907–1960)〔 and grandson of Sir Alfred Allen Booth, 1st Baronet (1872–1948).〔 His mother Ethel, Lady Booth (''née'' Greenfield), lives in California.〔
He was educated at Beverly Hills High School, California〔 before Harvard University at Cambridge, Massachusetts, graduating with the degree of Bachelor of Arts.〔
Upon his father Sir Philip's death in 1960, he succeeded to the Booth baronetcy, of Allerton Beeches, UK.〔(The Standing Council of the Baronetage )〕
